This project, whose full title is “New strategies based on biomarkers for detection, prognosis, response prediction and development of new treatments for cancer”, generated a total of nine patent applications and 12 scientific publications.
In the diagnostic area, an in vitro diagnostic test (GynEC®-DX) was developed which makes it possible to rule out endometrial cancer at an early stage and provides close to 100% reliability. The test is already commercially available in Spain and an international licence is currently being negotiated.
